You can test and retest, for example prior and post placement programme or experiential learning experience, to measure progression with the transition from student to professional. This would replicate how employers are using it in graduate development programmes and provides a powerful employer-informed impact measure.
It can be used as a reflective development tool as part of embedded employability provision; you can then deliver tailored activities based on where the biggest gaps exist within your specific student cohorts.
It can be used as part of skills awards and employability programmes; it can be particularly powerful for students from Widening Participation backgrounds who can find the expectations of employers opaque and don’t have access to professionals in their personal networks to support them with the transition to professional life.
